I am a highly adaptable writer and editor whose work is deeply rooted in the outdoors.

Words to me are both a profession and a personal joy. From my formative days writing a humorous but ill-fated travel blog as I backpacked my way around the world, to my present, somewhat more settled role as writer and content editor for adventure digital and print publication BASE, writing has always been more than just bread and butter to me.

Based now in the Lake District, Cumbria, my love of climbing, running, hill walking and affinity with the mountains, lakes and rock faces that surround me drives me to create, and I am passionate about drawing attention to matters of environmental, social, and cultural significance.

I like to draw upon my experiences and sense of humour to tell a good story, to interrupt, and to amplify the voices of others, and strive to inform creatively and engagingly, with diligence and integrity.
