I am a highly adaptable writer, editor and journalist whose work is deeply rooted in the outdoors.

From authoring a humorous but ill-fated travel blog as I backpacked my way around the world in my early twenties, to my present, somewhat more settled life as a writer and broadcast journalist, telling stories is both a profession and a personal joy.

Based in Cumbria, my love of climbing, running, hill walking and affinity with the mountains, lakes and rock faces that surround me drives me to create, and I am passionate about drawing attention to matters of environmental, social, and cultural significance.

I like to draw upon my experiences and sense of humour to tell a good tale, amplify the voices of others and to inform creatively, with diligence, passion and integrity.
